about
Knuckleheads is a family-friendly boxing and fitness facility that offers a unique experience in personal and group training. It was born from the desire to provide highly qualified boxing techniques and training to those interested in reaping the physical and mental benefits of boxing.
Knuckleheads originated in the 1970s, founded by Larry Puchta as a professional boxing fraternity. The Knuckleheads logo, theories, and mentalities were passed on to Pete Susens and Sean Gibbons, who have guided the careers of hundreds of fighters throughout the last 40 years, including the professional boxing career of Knuckleheads’ lead trainer Marty Jakubowski.
Marty went on to fight at a world championship level, including 3 world title bouts and 2 bouts with the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez. Sean Gibbons has advised multiple world champions, contenders, journeymen, opponents, and pedestrians in the boxing world and is currently CEO of Manny Pacquiao Promotions and a proud advisor to Knuckleheads Boxing and Family Fitness.
Knuckleheads Boxing and Family Fitness opened in Chicago’s South Loop in 2020. This location continues the legacy and standards that originated in the 1970s. Marty and our elite trainers provide their expertise to train all experience levels.
